Florence Walks has been operating since 2010 and prides itself on its service.
At Florence Walks, your licensed guide is yours alone – it’s just you and your travelling companions, privately guided, at your own pace!
We pride ourselves on our service – from the moment you make an inquiry. And it doesn’t end with the walk – we’ll give you plenty of tips for the rest of your stay in Florence.
We choose guides who have lived in Florence either all their life or for most of it, and who have a passion for storytelling – along with a sense of fun! They delight in showing you their city.
Mostly, starting times and departure points revolve around what suits you. However, on days of forecast extreme heat, we must start walks no later than 7.30am – for your safety and that of the guides.
If your hotel is in the historic city centre, your guide will collect you from the foyer. Otherwise, we will arrange a central meeting point.
We have walks that end with lunch or aperitivo – for those we need a pre-determined starting time. If you are arriving by train or bus for the day, your guide will collect you from the station and help store any luggage, as necessary. (The luggage storage cost is extra.)
Prices are quoted in Australian dollars.
For those travelling alone, there’s a singles’ supplement of $80 on all the walks, except for Sono da Solo (I’m Alone), which is designed for solo travellers.
Thanks for choosing Florence Walks. We want you to see Florence as it should be seen – at your own pace! Our guides are passionate locals who love their city. They want you to feel at home in Florence and will give you lots of tips on where to eat and what to visit. Enjoy your Florence Walks experience.

The Ponte Vecchio is the oldest bridge in Florence. It was rebuilt in 1345, after being destroyed by flood in 1333. The bridge was once awash with blood from the butchers’ shops it housed. Now, it is home to some of the most exclusive jewellery shops in Florence. A bust of Florentine goldsmith Benvenuto Cellini overlooks the River Arno.
